As a Bulky Waste Labourer you will be responsible for the completion of all general labouring duties associated with the collection of bulk waste, utilising rear loading collection vehicles and the eWaste and mattress truck from various locations around the City of Lake Macquarie.
Assessing waste placed out for collection you will determine if it is within Council's requirements and notify owners of non‐compliant materials presented for collection. You will join a dynamic and supportive team that takes pride in delivering exemplary services to our community. Hear About You
* You hold a Class C driver licence and a WorkCover General Construction Induction Card or equivalent.
* You demonstrate teamwork skills and the ability to work as a team to reach a common goal.
* Experience in a similar position shows your knowledge of waste management services.
* You enjoy each day being challenged by a physically demanding job.
* Previous experience operating rear loading waste collection vehicles will stand out.
* You desire to help shape our community by providing excellent customer service while following processes.
* You thrive in a diverse environment and bring a new challenge to every workday.
* A Heavy Rigid licence will be highly desirable.

* Competitive salary from $58,018 to $67,426 per year + 12% superannuation.
* Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range.
* Adverse working conditions allowance per hour.
* Daily travel allowance.
* Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply.
* 38‐hour working week with nine‐day fortnight.
* 4 additional concessional leave days after 12 months service.
* 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
