You will also work with at-risk youth responsible for or at risk of sexually abusing others, offering services including consultation, assessment, referral, and counselling to children, families, and communities.Role DescriptionAs a Counsellor, you will be part of a team co-located in Derby, receiving clinical supervision remotely from Broome. Your work will involve developing and delivering educational groups for various community members and collaborating with local agencies to support clients and develop the Indigenous Child Sexual Abuse Referral Service (ICSARS).Skills and ExperienceTo succeed, you should have:Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or CounsellingExperience working with trauma-affected children and young peopleCulturally appropriate practice with Aboriginal clientsAbility to work independently and manage your workloadIT skills, with Athena Penelope experience preferredGroup facilitation skillsKnowledge of Derby and surrounding communities is advantageousYou must also possess a current National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check, and WA Driver’s License.Impact and BenefitsJoin us to make a meaningful impact on families and communities in the Kimberley region.
