Electrical Engineering Leadership Role
Centennial Coal, a major underground coal mining operator in New South Wales, seeks a Mine Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical engineering operations and compliance in a dynamic underground mining environment. This pivotal role has influence across safety, productivity, and innovation.
The ideal candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager, leading electrical teams to deliver safe and efficient maintenance and production outcomes. They will drive compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement while collaborating with site and group engineering teams on strategic initiatives.
* Manage the full lifecycle of all electrical assets on site.
* Lead electrical HSEC compliance through safety initiatives, ensuring statutory compliance and managing risk across all electrical engineering activities.
* Drive reliability and maintenance strategy by collaborating with engineering teams to implement long-term reliability plans and digital monitoring systems.
* Contract and cost oversight, acting as Principal's Representative for electrical engineering related contracts, conducting audits, and managing reporting tools for performance and compliance.
* Mentor and develop talent by supporting young engineers through mentoring and qualification pathways, promoting consistent engineering practices across sites.
* Support projects and innovation by partnering with OEMs and site teams to enhance safety and productivity through automation and lifecycle asset management.
Requirements
* Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
* NSW Certificate of Competency and Practising Certificate.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Experience in contract management and project delivery.
* Qualifications in risk management, leadership, or project management (desirable).
