**How will I help?**
Working within a team of technical specialists, you will interact directly with senior business and risk management stakeholders across the Westpac Group, and with experts in related disciplines within the internal audit function.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake independent reviews of modelling, analytics and management practices relating to credit, capital, market and funding & liquidity risks across the Westpac Group 
- Provide technical support to internal audit teams by reviewing relevant models and quantitative techniques for management of non-financial risks 
- Identify and document deficiencies in risk management practices, agree appropriate remediation plans and monitor their implementation. 
- Prepare detailed written workpapers and reports, including opinions on the effectiveness of risk management practices with a focus on calling out the things that matter.

**What do I need?**
We are looking for a high-performing individual who has at least 10 years of financial services industry experience, with a strong knowledge of, and capability with the following:
- Frameworks, systems and quantitative models used for management and quantification of credit risk, or other financial risk classes such as capital, market or funding & liquidity 
- Regulatory obligations relevant to credit risk, or across other risk classes 
- Techniques and processes for the development and validation of quantitative models 
- Stakeholder management (communication and influencing skills) and project management and collaboration/relationship building skills 
- Advanced use of SAS, R or Python is desirable 
- Understanding of business processes for management of credit risk exposures, and familiarity with advanced credit risk rating systems
