Disability Support Worker (Casual)
Northern Rivers Care Network is seeking an experienced, driven, and genuinely passionate Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis in Lennox Head and surrounding areas.
About the Role
You will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, assisting them to build independence, engage in their community, and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Assistance with daily living activities (routine support, light household tasks, meal preparation)
* Community participation (social outings, recreational activities, skill development)
* Transport to appointments, activities, and community access
* Support with building independence and life skills
* Maintain clear communication with participants, families, and support coordinators
* Complete shift notes and documentation in line with NDIS requirements
Requirements (Essential – must be met)
* Proven experience in disability support or a similar role
* Driven, proactive, and demonstrates a genuine passion for supporting people
* Current Working With Children Check (NSW)
* National Police Check
* Valid driver’s licence
* Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
