About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Medical Receptionist to join our close-knit team at Perth Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialists Pty Ltd in Subiaco, WA. This part-time role 30 hours per week will involve providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our obstetrics and gynaecology practice.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's diary
* Answering and directing incoming phone calls
* Organising and maintaining medical records and patient files
* Providing administrative support to the doctors and nursing staff
* Assisting with billing, invoicing and other financial duties
* Ensuring the reception area and practice facilities are well-presented
* Adhering to all practice policies, procedures and quality standards
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic and patient-focused customer service
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate medical records and scheduling
* Proficient in using medical practice management Genie software and other office technologies
* Reliable, discreet and able to maintain strict confidentiality
* A caring and compassionate approach when interacting with patients
