The role of a Business Development Representative at Canonical
We consider our sales development organization to be the best technology sales academy in the market. We select exceptional candidates who are organized, persistent, charismatic, and interested in tech and its business implications. Your primary goal will be to find customer projects that align with our products and promote Canonical across industries and geographies.
The role entails
1. Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns
2. Research prospective customers and market trends
3. Generate high-quality leads for Senior Sellers
4. Own and close SMB opportunities within your territory
5. Collaborate across teams and stakeholders
6. Help define team processes and policies
7. Travel to events and conferences worldwide to promote and sell
What we are looking for in you
* Proven success in SDR or outbound sales, exceeding quotas
* Experience engaging with senior executives to identify opportunities
* Background in enterprise software or tech sales
* Strong academic record
* Passion for business and technology
* Continuous learner, curious and flexible
* Creative problem solver and collaborator
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
* Results-driven with persistence and a growth mindset
* Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks
