Key Position: Deputy Editor
Job Description
The role of the Deputy Editor is to lead a team responsible for publishing news on ASX listed companies across various Australian newspapers.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee analysts and journalists to ensure timely publication of news articles.
* Prepare researchers to conduct interviews with ASX-listed CEOs for radio broadcasts.
* Develop a video interview podcast series featuring ASX-listed company executives, researching and assembling show content.
* Edit and enhance senior analyst and journalist work, identifying key pieces on ASX-listed companies.
* Maintain relationships with public markets as a peer with public company CEOs, ensuring Bulls N Bears maintains its position as a prominent publisher of small to mid-cap ASX listed news.
Requirements:
* Strong background in financial markets or investor relations, exceptional writing and grammatical skills.
* Experience in journalism, editing, or business journalism highly desirable.
* Good understanding of ASX listed small-cap companies, geology experience beneficial.
* Ability to converse and interact as a peer with public company CEOs.
Role Details
This Perth-based role at The West Australian Newspaper offices in Osborne Park offers direct responsibility for the editorial team. The salary is commensurate with experience in public markets and writing.
