We are seeking a highly skilled electrician to join our water reclamation team.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure, including operation and maintenance of electrical, communication and control equipment;
* Pre-commissioning and post-commissioning activities for Council assets;
* Troubleshooting of defective assets, communication and control systems;
* New installations of electrical and control equipment.
Maintenance and update of SCADA/PLC/Telemetry/Hardware/Software/Firmware to ensure efficient and effective operation of sewage treatment plants; sewage pump stations; and flood pump stations.
Develop backup and recovery strategies for SCADA/IT hardware, software and firmware to ensure continuity of operations in the event of system failure.
Routine and adhoc audits of RTU and PLC code, ensuring systems are compliant with operating standards and rectifying any issues promptly.
Contribute to continuous improvement of asset maintenance and replacement.
Support the Sewer & Stormwater Team with project management activities, works programs and asset registers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A Class C Driver's Licence;
* A General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card);
* A Trade qualification e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician.
