The Role
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivatedElectricianto join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of mechanical electrical and building automation systems for our HVAC clients. You'll be involved in projects from start to finish, requiring you to read plans, coordinate with key stakeholders, and carry out the installation.
From time to time, you will also assist our workshop team with the assembly and wiring of our custom-designed Mechanical Switchboards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician looking to specialise in the growing field of building automation and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, termination, and testing of mechanical electrical wiring and building automation control systems.
* Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
* Plan and execute on-site installation work for projects of all sizes, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
* Communicate professionally with project managers, clients, and other contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Assist with the in-house manufacturing and wiring of Mechanical Switchboards as needed.
* Conduct fault-finding and commissioning on electrical and control systems.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment both on-site and in the workshop.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in electrical, installation and maintenance of equipment within the building HVAC industry (desirable)
* Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
* Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
* Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
* Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
* Current Electrical License
* White Card (construction card);
* Current C Class Open Australian Driver's Licence;
* Asbestos Awareness certificate
* EWP Licence (desirable)
* Able to work well on your own and in a team
* Enjoy developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
* Have strong communication skills including good verbal and written English
* You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia
