Job Description
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical components of light vehicles.
* Conduct routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and scheduled repairs.
* Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and suspension.
* Perform diagnostic testing and interpret fault codes using electronic equipment.
* Repair and replace defective parts, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications.
* Conduct wheel alignments, balancing, and tyre replacements.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records in compliance with company procedures.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workshop operations.
* Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
* Valid driver's licence.
* Experience working with both petrol and diesel engines.
* Familiarity with 4WD vehicles and a range of brands (Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu).
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and software effectively.
* Attention to detail and commitment to high‐quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Salary: $76,515 AUD (per annum) + Superannuation.
