Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Repairs core G/I equipment based on the Incoming Inspector's findings, using diagnostic skills to identify problems.
* Diagnoses issues, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments as needed.
* Assembles and disassembles small delicate endoscope parts to ensure they meet specifications.
* Conducts final quality inspections on completed repairs to guarantee products meet manufacturer standards before passing them along to final quality control.
* Troubleshoots potential issues not originally discovered during initial inspections.
* Operates equipment safely, maintains a clean work area, follows established procedures, and reports any hazards to supervisors.
* Performs other relevant duties as required.
* Maintains strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
* Complies with FDA medical device regulations, ISO 13485 standard requirements, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
* Responds promptly to instructions and applies knowledge to real-world situations efficiently.
* Achieves consistent monthly targets.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
* Electronic and/or Mechanical Certification or degree preferred; however, applicants with repair experience in electronics, medical devices, mechanics, or similar fields will be considered.
* Soldering experience is a plus.
* Candidates must possess excellent communication skills for interacting with coworkers and internal customers.
* Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies is essential.
* Capacity to research and analyze various types of information is necessary.
* Strong prioritization skills are required.
* Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting job-related documents is necessary.
* Accuracy in calculating and matching figures and amounts is crucial.
Physical Requirements:
* The position demands physical stamina. Employees frequently stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, operate electronic or mechanical devices, exhibit fine motor skills, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate verbally.
* Lifting up to 30 lbs. may be required. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are specific vision abilities required by this job.
