About the role
Reporting to the General Manager of Calvary Kooyong, the Retirement Manager at Hyson Apartments ensures the provision of high-quality and holistic customer service on a daily basis, managing all aspects of independent living accommodation, including the coordination of maintenance, refurbishment work, sales, and resident activities in partnership with relevant members of the Calvary Kooyong team.
Calvary Kooyong is an integrated retirement living, health, and residential care precinct in Caulfield South, Melbourne. The precinct encompasses 69 premium retirement living units in Hyson Apartments, an 83-bed contemporary residential care home in Huntly Suites, Calvary in-home care, Calvary Bethlehem's sub-acute health services, including a 32-bed inpatient unit, centre-based clinics, research, community palliative care services, and various shared and tenancy services, including an onsite GP Practice.
Key Position Objectives :
* Ensure Hyson Apartments maintains a high standard of living for residents.
* Maintain optimal occupancy levels through face-to-face sales and letting activities, implementing new sales initiatives as needed.
* Support village operations by managing client information systems effectively.
* Create a welcoming environment, develop strong relationships with residents, provide in-depth orientation for new residents, and coordinate village activities.
* Facilitate residents' independent living by supporting access to on-site services and facilities at Calvary Kooyong, in line with organisational policies.
About you :
* Previous management and industry experience in the Retirement and/or Aged Care Sector, with understanding of placement processes for aged care consumers in facility, retirement village, or independent living settings.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the retirement village sector, current reforms, legislation, and regulatory frameworks, including experience with the Retirement Villages Act 1986 and related regulations.
* Strong customer service skills, ability to coordinate complex services, and build stakeholder relationships.
* Proven sales, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Ability to deliver and monitor services within budget and operational requirements.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication.
