Description
As a Mechanical Support Engineer in the Engineering & Utilities team, you'll provide engineering support across critical hospital systems, helping ensure safe and reliable operations. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and operational teams, gaining hands‐on exposure to complex infrastructure. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build confidence while contributing to meaningful work. You'll play an important part in maintaining systems that directly support patient care and hospital functionality.
Responsibilities
* Support the safe operation of mechanical systems across the hospital.
* Review and assist with maintenance planning and risk mitigation.
* Contribute to incident response and technical problem‐solving.
* Develop and update engineering documentation and procedures.
* Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Analyse system performance and support asset management activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor‐degree qualified professional engineer, holding qualifications recognised for membership of Engineers Australia.
* Strong understanding of risk management and safety principles.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from others.
* Ability to solve problems and think critically in real‐world situations.
* Motivation to grow and contribute in a team environment.
