The Role
Join Bega Group's in-house Legal team and play a pivotal role in supporting our dynamic sales and customer teams. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will assume responsibility for providing strategic, practical legal advice to support our retail, grocery, food service, and wholesale activities.

Based at our Docklands office, which serves as the central hub for Bega Group's corporate operations, we offer flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Draft, review and assist with negotiation of sales and sales-related arrangements, ensuring commercially acceptable outcomes
* Guide stakeholders on legal risks by providing clear, practical advice on legal matters, and proactively work towards solutions-focused outcomes for the Bega Group, engaging external legal counsel when required
* Contribute to the resolution of customer disputes, including collaborating with the internal debt recovery team from time to time
* Monitor regulatory developments, maintain sales contract templates and process, deliver training to internal teams, and uphold legal, ethical, and professional standards
About you
* A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor
* Must hold a current Australian legal practising certificate
* 4-6 years post‑qualification experience, ideally within a well-regarded commercial or corporate practice
* Strong communication skills are essential
* In‑house experience is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with Australian competition and consumer laws is advantageous, and a willingness to learn is highly valued
