About the Role
The consultancy is expanding and seeking a Town Planner / Communications & Engagement Specialist to support planning advisory work and community engagement for a diverse range of development projects.
The role involves planning assessments, stakeholder engagement, community consultation activities, preparation of planning documentation, and supporting strategic communication initiatives. This position suits someone who can manage complex planning projects while contributing to high-quality engagement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Work across planning and engagement functions on major development projects
* Provide planning due diligence, approvals pathway advice and project strategies
* Prepare planning documentation including SEEs, EISs, Planning Proposals and Social Impact Assessments
* Support community consultation and engagement activities
* Coordinate sub-consultants and project inputs
* Maintain strong understanding of current planning legislation and policy updates

About You
* Qualifications in town planning or a related discipline
* Capable of managing complex planning projects
* Experience or willingness to learn community engagement
* Strong communication and stakeholder skills
* Understanding of NSW planning legislation and recent changes
