Transition to Mental Health Nursing
The Alfred Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join their team in a Fixed Term, Part-time role. This position offers the ideal opportunity for individuals wishing to transition from General Nursing to Mental Health.
* Fixed term, Part-time (0.8EFT / 64hrs)
* Based at The Alfred Hospital's Adult Inpatient Units or Community Care Units, or Aged Mental Health Services
* Registered Nurse Grade 2 (Pending experience)
* This role is designed to support the transition of Registered Nurses into Mental Health nursing with comprehensive training and experience.
* Work as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment.
About the Role
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be working closely with a dedicated Clinical Educator to develop your skills and knowledge in risk assessment, mental state assessment, care planning and mental health nursing care and practice.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to effectively consult, liaise and negotiate with consumers, carers, family members and other professionals. You will also possess excellent time management skills and be able to work autonomously within a busy clinical environment.
About You
* Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
* Australian working rights (Visa holders, please upload your visa and passport with your application)
* Current Influenza vaccination
* Be willing to undergo a Background Check
