Tomkinson provides professional Planning, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Project Management services throughout Victoria and southern New South Wales. We primarily undertake Land Development and Infrastructure projects.
We are seeking a variety of applicants for Cadastral Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor, Survey Assistant to join our team and advance their career. Position Responsibilities
- Draft cadastral survey documentation for submission to Land Victoria, including Plans of Subdivision and Abstracts of Field Records
- Collaborate on projects with project managers, engineers, planners, consultants, and fellow survey team members
- Develop leadership skills through the provision of training and mentorship to Survey Technicians and Assistants, ensuring safe and efficient execution of survey work
- Conduct survey tasks and fieldwork alone or under the supervision of a Surveyor
- Prepare, reduce, and submit contour feature surveys and other measurements to meet client and team requirements
- Promote and represent the Tomkinson Group positively to develop new business opportunities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality client projects

The ideal candidate should have
- Experience as a Land Surveyor or Survey Technician
- Proficiency with survey equipment (Trimble, Leica, GNSS systems) and processing software (AutoCAD, Carlson, Map3D, etc.)
- Knowledge of cadastral, topographic, and construction survey procedures
- Relevant qualifications in Surveying or Geospatial Sciences (Registration or willingness to gain registration preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and willingness to work both in the field and in the office
- A safety-conscious mindset aligned with OHS policies
