You'll work alongside experienced professionals as part of a structured development program, all while completing your tertiary qualification in planning.
Completion of four semesters of a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning is preferred but not essential. However, applicants with related qualifications or relevant industry experience are also encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertake and complete all required study and training with satisfactory results within the designated timeframe.
2. Develop and maintain a foundational understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, relevant State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs), and other planning instruments, codes, and policies applicable to land use planning and development assessment.
3. Undertake assigned planning tasks and responsibilities with professionalism, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting agreed deadlines.
4. Actively participate in on-the-job learning opportunities, including site inspections, pre-lodgement meetings, and planning assessments under supervision, to build practical knowledge and experience in development assessment and land use planning.
5. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, contribute positively to a team environment, and provide courteous and responsive customer service in the delivery of planning functions.

* Salary will be dependent upon the successful applicants age or educational qualification, whichever is higher.
