As Group Risk Manager, you’ll lead the design and continuous improvement of UnitingCare’s Risk Management and Safeguarding Frameworks. Working within our respected Group Risk and Assurance team, you’ll partner across a large, complex organisation—engaging with stakeholders from frontline teams to executives. This role suits someone who thrives in change, can simplify complexity, and influence with confidence. You’ll help the business see risk as an enabler, not a barrier, while gaining exposure across multiple sectors and functions. Please note, this position is Full Time. Your part in our UnitingCare team: Shape the future of risk and safeguarding by leading strategy, frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Design and implement innovative risk tools and systems to enhance monitoring, reporting, and escalation. Partner with senior leaders to align risk with business strategy, projects, and regulatory requirements. Influence decision-making at the highest level through clear, insightful risk reporting to executives and boards. Drive project success by supporting teams in identifying and managing risks effectively. Build organisational capability through impactful risk training and culture programs. Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and excellence in risk and safeguarding. Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, empowering balanced decision-making across the organisation. What makes a difference for us? Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include: Nationally Coordinated Police Check Right to Work in Australia Child Safety and Personal History Screening (LCS2) 8 years’ experience in risk management or a related field. Expert knowledge of enterprise risk management and policy development. Strong ability to prepare and present reports to senior stakeholders and boards. Proven strategic thinking and decision-making in dynamic environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Knowledge of health, aged care, community services, and not-for-profit environments, including risk management systems and contemporary Safeguarding and Child Safe practices. (Desirable) Tertiary qualification in risk, business, human resources or a related field Qualifications, knowledge and experience in project management What makes a difference for you?
