Overview
We are seeking a suitably qualified business development specialist for our Mackay branch to help extend our National reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships, while also maintaining our existing base. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build the multimillion-dollar brands that help make everyday activities easier for our clients. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.
As the Business Development Manager, you will take the lead in the development of both new business opportunities while also supporting our existing client base with ongoing support and contact that supports The Seat Shop’s overall growth strategy. There are no boundaries to your territory. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales and a proven track record of success and someone who is not scared to get their hands dirty at times. Working in a widely autonomous role this position reports directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and nurture relationships while supporting existing clients to drive growth.
- Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset and sales skills to contribute to The Seat Shop’s growth strategy.
- Operate in a widely autonomous role and collaborate with the team to achieve company goals.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with earthmoving and construction machinery will be highly regarded.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales, and a proven track record of success.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative; comfortable in a Territory with no boundaries.
- Solid communication and relationship-building skills; ability to lead and inspire a team.
