Field Service / Workshop Mechanic – Defence Projects

Are you a skilled Automotive, Marine, Diesel/Truck Mechanic or Fitter & Turner with fuel system experience? Ready to take your career to the next level with a role that offers variety, purpose, and the chance to work on cutting-edge Defence equipment?
We're looking for a hands-on, proactive technician to join our team supporting a major Defence Sustainment Contract. This is your opportunity to apply your trade across a mix of workshop and field service work, contributing to projects that matter.
What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on modern Defence assets.
* Supporting Planned and Routine Maintenance programs, as well as ad hoc repairs.
* Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Project Team to ensure equipment is mission-ready.
* Travelling to various sites across Australia (mostly during business hours) to provide on-site support.
* Using your mechanical expertise to keep critical systems running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
* TAFE-qualified Technician or Mechanic (Cert II/IV or equivalent apprenticeship).
* 3 - 5 years' experience in mechanical systems across various machinery types.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Current Driver's Licence (essential) and Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required).
