Overview
University Marketing supports Curtin’s strategic vision to be a recognised international leader in research and education. The Future Student Engagement Team focuses on the attraction and recruitment of future students and provides a quality advisory service to students on future study options, career pathways and life as a Curtin student. The team facilitates recruitment events on the Perth campus and at high schools in both the Perth metropolitan and regional WA, manages relationships with WA high school stakeholders, and implements strategy for lead generation through events.
About the role
We have an opportunity for a personable self-starter with strong administration and communication skills to join our collaborative team and play a key role in Future Student Engagement activity and supporting our student ambassador program.
In this role you will…
- Provide broad administrative support to the Future Student Engagement team.
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries and respond in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the Student Ambassador Program lifecycle including recruitment, interviews, training and scheduling and allocation of ambassadors to engagement activities.
- Assist with the implementation of initiatives to attract recent cohorts of student ambassadors.
- Support key event coordination aspects for both on- and off-campus activities and represent Curtin at appropriate events and expos.
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring key documentation is filed and stored appropriately.
Who we are looking for
- Completion of a diploma qualification and relevant experience.
- Outstanding customer service with well-developed verbal communication skills and the ability to present to key stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and apply initiative and decision-making skills.
- Competency in using computer-based systems and a variety of digital tools and platforms.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Role requirements
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
- Successful applicants are subject to a Working With Children’s Check, National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
- Preferred days of work to include Thursday and Friday.
