We act predominantly for builders, developers, contractors, and business owners, providing practical, commercially focused advice. The RoleYou will work closely with the Director team across front-end advisory and transactional matters, with exposure to disputes as they arise. Your work will includeDrafting and reviewing building contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and trade terms and conditions Advising on variations, delays, extensions of time, payment claims, defects, and contractual risk allocation Drafting and advising on commercial contracts, including service agreements, supply agreements, shareholder agreements, and asset sale documentation Providing clear, commercially grounded advice to clients (often builders and business owners) Assisting with dispute strategy and preparation where matters escalate to litigation, adjudication, or insolvency contexts Managing files with increasing autonomy, with appropriate supervision and support About YouThis role is designed for a lawyer who: Has experience in commercial law, building and construction, or a related practice area Is confident drafting contracts and advising clients, not just researching or assisting Communicates clearly and practically with clients Enjoys responsibility and wants to be trusted with real work and real clients The Firm & What We OfferBrunet Law is intentionally boutique and commercially focused.
