Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fixed plant and infrastructure shutdown projects in Mackay. In this role, you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle from planning and execution through to close‐out, while collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Full Project Lifecycle Management
* Lead planning, execution, and close‐out of shutdown projects
* Develop Scopes of Work, Work Breakdown Structures, and project definition documents
* Prepare project budgets, costing sheets, and forecasts
* Collaborate with commercial teams during tendering and contract management
* Monitor project progress using project tracking tools
* Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
* Conduct project close‐out activities, including lessons learned and final handovers
* Take full ownership and accountability for project outcomes

We're seeking a seasoned and skilled Project Manager/Lead with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, high‐value projects. Key qualifications and attributes
* Proven experience leading shutdown projects with a background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural disciplines
* Experience managing multiple shutdowns as Project Manager or lead
* Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools
* Strong project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting at all levels of an organisation
* Ability to work collaboratively with commercial teams, contractors, and clients
* Commitment to safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
* Full working rights in Australia
