Here at Roadpod, we have an exciting recent opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our growing team on the Gold Coast. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Developing manufacturing strategies & leading operational benchmarking.
- Liaising with design engineers to improve product design and assembly methodologies.
- Connecting and conducting calibration and testing of our products.
- Addressing quality issues promptly and working with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Designing and engineering specialised components, equipment, and systems to improve build consistency, quality, and performance.
- Managing suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Preparing and monitoring budget costing to ensure projects are delivered within scope.
- Travelling domestically and, where required, internationally to support projects and supplier engagement.
- Perform research & development on new products and rapid prototyping
- Working closely with mechanical engineers
Skills, Attributes & Qualifications
- To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
- Experience and knowledge in designing products to Australian Standards.
- Must have experience in Structural Design software (SolidWorks is an advantage)
- Experience in ISO compliance.
- Strong supplier management and budgeting skills.
- Current Driver’s License and reliable transport.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
- A proactive, creative mindset with strong initiative.
- Confidence, flexibility, and resilience to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to both follow and create workflow processes.
- Experience with Australian and International patents (highly valued but not essential).
- RPEQ certification (desired but not required).
Position Details
Hours: 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Gold Coast
