About the Role
As a Child Safety Wellbeing Worker, you’ll be part of a dedicated, collaborative team that responds to callers seeking information, advice and support about the safety and wellbeing of children and families. In this fast-paced environment, your calm, compassionate communication and sound professional judgement will help families access the right support at the right time. Working in statewide service based in Hobart, you’ll be contributing to safer, stronger outcomes for children across Tasmania.

What we are Looking For
* A genuine passion for child safety, wellbeing and family support.
* Exceptional communication skills for phone-based conversations—adept at listening, exploring concerns, de‑escalating, and explaining next steps clearly.
* Knowledge of and/or experience in assessment and casework intervention with individuals and families who have complex needs, and knowledge of theoretical perspectives that relate to child protection practice and the ability to apply this in a service delivery context.
* A commitment to continuous learning, professional reflection and self-care.
* Individual resilience, emotional intelligence, and a high level of integrity.
