Responsibilities
1. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults across a wide range of vehicles using structured fault-finding and root cause analysis
2. Validate repairs through testing, live data analysis and test drives to ensure strong first-time-fix outcomes
3. Document findings clearly and help cut down repeat faults and wasted parts
4. Act as a technical escalation point for the workshop, supporting the team with guidance on complex problems
5. Mentor the team, suggest process improvements, and see repairs through to final validation (pink/blue slips if licensed)
Qualifications
6. 5+ years as a Light Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
7. Experienced in electrical diagnosis, CAN systems, and modern vehicle electronics
8. Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
9. Clear communicator when documenting faults and repairs
10. NSW Full drivers licence, able to drive manual and automatic
