About The Role
We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide therapy to NDIS participants. Responsibilities include:
- Working in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
- Using assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
- Building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks
- Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies within a positive behaviour support framework
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
- Participating in weekly team meetings at the Hub to share impact stories and foster team spirit
- Receiving support from your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor
Who We Are Looking For
Our team values collaboration and shared principles. Candidates should have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma)
- Registration with relevant professional bodies:
- Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration
- Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
- Social Worker with AASW membership
- Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field
- Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Positive, adaptable approach and strong communication skills
- Team player committed to growth
- Valid Australian driver’s license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
