About Us
Flying Start Preschool & OSHC is a family-owned service located on the grounds of St Anthony's Primary School in Kingscliff.
We offer a unique blend of early childhood education and school-aged care:
- Our Preschool Program provides a high-quality transition-to-school experience for children aged 3–5 during school hours.
- Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Program supports both St Anthony's Primary students and Flying Start Preschoolers, ensuring continuity of care in a familiar, nurturing environment.

About the Roles
We are offering three permanent opportunities for enthusiastic, experienced Educators to join our team.
Educator (Permanent Part-Time, Mon–Fri)
- Hours: 11:00 am – 6:00pm (6.5 hr face-to-face), Monday to Friday
- 4 weeks annual leave + 4 additional paid non-contact weeks (1 per NSW School Term)
- Minimum Diploma qualified (or working towards)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma management and Child Protection certificates required.
- Responsible Person during NSW School Holidays and from 3pm to 6pm during NSW School Terms.
Educator (Permanent Part-Time, Mon–Fri)
- Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (6.5 hr face-to-face), Monday to Friday, NSW School Terms
- Hours: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, NSW School Holidays
- 4 weeks annual leave + 4 additional paid non-contact weeks (1 per NSW School Term)
- Minimum Diploma qualified (or working towards). Certificate 3 considered.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma management and Child Protection certificates required.
Educator – Wednesday Only (Permanent Part time)
- Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (6.5 hr face-to-face), Wednesday, NSW School Terms
- Hours: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (6.5 hr face-to-face), Wednesday, NSW School Holidays
- A permanent, reliable weekly shift to complement our team
- Additional permanent shifts available during NSW School Holidays
- Minimum Diploma qualified (or working towards). Certificate 3 considered.
Please note: You must have the right to work in Australia and a current Working with Children Check (or able to obtain) to be considered for these positions.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary will align with the Children's Services Award or the Educational Services (Teachers) Award, depending on qualifications, role, and experience.
- Flying Start is approved for the Worker Retention Grant, which we are committed to passing on to employees while the grant is available. (Please note this is subject to government funding and may not be permanent.)
- Mon–Fri Educator roles also include 4 additional weeks of paid non-contact time each year (1 week per School Term).
