About the Role
* We're seeking an experienced and driven journalist to deliver high-quality content for our audience.
* The successful candidate will have a proven ability to write authoritatively across diverse topics.
The information specialist will pitch stories for Queensland and national audiences that contribute to subscription growth at Brisbane Times.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Generate unique content ideas for daily and weekly news cycles, and for Queensland and national audiences.
* Prepare clear, accurate, balanced, timely, well-written, and well-researched reports for publication on our website and social platforms.
* Maintain an extensive network of contacts and sources.
* Demonstrate excellent news judgment and knowledge of current affairs.
* Take ownership of stories/issues and follow up when appropriate.
* Meet agreed audience benchmarks and deadlines.
