Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance professional to join our team in a large, complex, and fast-paced matrix organisation. As a key member of the Finance function, you will act as a strategic link between Finance and multiple business units, providing insightful financial analysis, commercial guidance, and strategic support to drive business performance.
This is a highly visible role, working closely with senior stakeholders and functional leaders to enable sound decision-making, deliver cost efficiency, and support long-term planning. You will also lead and develop a small team within the FP&A function, responsible for Finance Business Partnering across Central Functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Own reporting, analysis, and management of total expenditure, driving productivity initiatives and cost visibility.
* Partner with senior business leaders and functional heads to provide financial insight, forecasting, and analysis aligned to strategic priorities.
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for designated business areas, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
* Deliver variance analysis and commentary, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
* Collaborate with functions including operations, commercial, and HR to influence financial outcomes and efficiency initiatives.
* Translate complex financial data into clear, concise reporting for non-financial stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement in planning, reporting, and performance management processes.
* Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance.
* Act as a key liaison between Group Finance and business units, ensuring consistency of practices and policies.
* Manage, coach, and develop a small Finance Business Partnering team.
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Central Function Business Partnering or similar role within a large, complex, or multinational organisation. They should possess strong analytical, financial modelling, and commercial acumen, as well as demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex data simply to non-financial audiences. Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel is essential, while experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
