This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class medical education and training to medical students in rural Western Australia.
Job Description
* Deliver innovative medical education and training programs that meet the needs of rural communities
* Collaborate with local medical practitioners and agencies to develop educational programs that address the specific needs of the region
* Maintain and contribute to the development of local educational programs that meet the requirements of the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia
* Develop and coordinate the development of rural training pathways in the local area of appointment and contribute to a statewide approach
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registered or able to be registered with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
* Commitment to working in medical practice in rural WA
* Experience as a preceptor and/or supervisor of medical students and/or junior doctors or registrars
* A commitment to the principles and practice of Indigenous health in rural and regional areas
* Commitment to rural medical education and to improving rural medical workforce
