**Your New Role**:
The Head of Finance is a critical leadership role within Wealth & Capital Markets finance function and operates within a complex corporate environment. The prevailing challenging financial services market requires outstanding leadership, strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, and as part of the AU Group the incumbent must navigate the responsibilities across the group functions, and linkages into the Wealth & Capital Markets platform.
This role will partner strategically with the W&CM leadership team - providing financial and commercial stewardship, execution capability and a community of practice in partnership with the Group functions. The primary objective of the role is to lead the platform's financial management and annual planning process and drive strong business performance. The role will provide commercial business partnering to the Life & Super business unit. The role is responsible for the platform project financial governance.
**Your New Role Looks Like This**
- Lead the annual operating planning process for the Wealth & Capital Markets platform and actively collaborate with the General Manager Corporate Finance and Planning, the platform Executives and Group Strategy
- Lead the platform financial management including the provision of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and yearly management reporting of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow to support the delivery of agreed targets in the short and longer term
- Provide strategic business partnership to Executive General Manager, Life and Super, evaluate strategic choices and create options for both the business and the platform
- Ensure liquidity and cash flow management of platform and adherence to AU Group funding governance requirements
- Oversee the financial governance of platform opex and capex projects
- Establish a range of dashboards and reporting tools to enable timely management decisions as well as proactively contribute to the establishment, analysis and use of data to progress the Group's ambitions
- Manage people processes, risk management of frameworks and your responsible workforce resource, including effective management of FTE budgets
- Drive a genuinely customer centric culture through sustained leadership commitment
**About You**:
- You will have widespread experience in a relevant finance role, preferably within the financial services industry
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Proven leadership of strategic and operational finance teams
- Extensive P&L accountability, Business Case/Commercial analysis and Project Accounting/Reporting experience
- Effective internal and external stakeholder relationship building skills and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to proficient time management
- Ability to develop and coach, as well as inspire and drive others
