Community Home Care Services on the West Coast of Tasmania provide essential, locally based healthcare and support to people in their own homes and communities. Role Overview
The role involves providing domestic and personal care assistance in clients' homes, following individual care plans and ensuring dignity, choice, and person‐centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide in‐home domestic assistance, including cleaning bathrooms and living spaces, bed‐making, linen changes, and other essential household tasks in line with care plans.
* Deliver services in accordance with individual care plans, promoting dignity, choice, and person‐centred care while being responsive to clients' changing health and social needs.
* Maintain a safe and respectful service environment, adhering to infection prevention and control practices, workplace safety requirements, and confidentiality standards.
* Provide personal care assistance to clients in their homes, including support with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and person‐centred manner.
* Assist clients with basic nail care (within scope) and provide prompting or supervision with personal care tasks to support comfort, hygiene, and independence.
* Deliver care in line with individual care plans, observing and reporting any changes in a client's health, wellbeing, or functional ability to the care team.
Qualifications and Eligibility
* Current driver's licence (essential).
* Certificate 3 in Individual Support / Aged Care or other relevant qualifications (preferred).
* Current first aid certificate (preferred).
* Fixed term, casual position with hours to be negotiated, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary range: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (pro rata), with 12% employer superannuation contribution.
* Salary packaging includes a range of benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 each FBT year.
