About the role
The $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment has recently been completed. The new hospital delivers modern, purpose-built facilities to meet the health needs of Cowra and surrounding communities, both now and into the future.
Our goal to build 'healthier rural people and thriving communities' is the shared responsibility of all involved in care of our patients and the Hospital Assistant is an integral and valued member of our team.
We are seeking suitably experienced people to join our close knit kitchen team working up to 24 hours per week. Shifts incorporate all aspects of catering and cleaning tasks within the hospital kitchen supporting breakfast through to dinner in the kitchen within this role. Shifts are 8.5 hours in length rostered over a 7 day rotating roster.
You will have the willingness and ability to work in a team environment as well as unsupervised. Must be a team player, have a high attention to detail, experience with food is desirable, be able to follow instruction, must have a willingness to learn and continue ongoing training. This is a physical role.
We currently have 21 people on our Environmental Services Team working across Cleaning, Catering and Security for the whole of Hospital.
