Key Responsibilities

Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria:
* Relevant experience and qualifications in corrections or a related field
* Ability to demonstrate team orientation, very high-level interpersonal skills, integrity, strength and stamina, resilience, respect, supportive, accountable, tolerant, assertive, adaptable, decisive, dependable, courage, motivated, patient, objective, able to read people and situations and to think critically and problem solve
Training and Development
New recruits will undergo a 12-week training program with the Tasmania Prison Service at the Risdon site, which includes the acquisition of a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial) - a nationally recognised qualification.

* Disciplinary action in previous employment
