Overview
Our client is a well regarded international industrial manufacturer, recognised for delivering high quality, reliable products to global markets. As the company continues to evolve, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their site in Milperra. This is a key leadership role for someone with a strong engineering background, capable of leading teams, managing multiple projects, and driving operational improvements. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in facilities management and a hands-on mindset to support the business at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a maintenance team across both electrical and mechanical functions
Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues
Manage repair and maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts
Drive cost control while balancing operational needs
Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of reliable equipment and processes
Collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve wider business goals
Skills & Experience
Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/electrical experience (manufacturing preferred)
At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Solid background in troubleshooting, fault finding, and root cause analysis
Exposure to facilities management is highly advantageous
Familiarity with plant maintenance systems (ERP/MRP)
Solid understanding of QA, EHS standards, GMP, and GDP
