* Managing multiple capital works projects from concept to final handover
* Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules and budgets
* Procuring and managing consultants and contractors in line with legislative and Council requirements
* Administering contracts, monitoring performance and managing variations
* Providing clear, timely reporting on progress, risks, issues and financial performance
* Ensuring strong work health and safety outcomes across all project sites
* Building productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices
About You
You are a practical, experienced project manager who enjoys seeing projects delivered on the ground and takes pride in doing the job well.
You'll bring a solutions-focused mindset, confidence in managing complex infrastructure projects, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fastgrowing council environment.
You will have:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Significant experience managing civil or infrastructure projects
* Demonstrated project management expertise, including scheduling, budgeting and quality control
* Strong knowledge of WHS requirements within construction and experience supervising contract staff
* Experience preparing technical specifications, tender documentation and managing procurement processes
* The ability to self-manage, meet deadlines and deliver results in a high accountability environment
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
* Experience in local government or capital works delivery within a regulated environment will be highly regarded.
What we offer
* Ongoing, full-time work with a great mix of stability and flexibility to help balance life outside work
* Competitive pay with superannuation and employee benefits, including free income protection and journey insurance
* Opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills over time
* Supportive team environment where your work genuinely makes a difference to the local community
