Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our geological department, you will be responsible for resource estimation and technical reporting of gold resources across our operations.
Your primary focus will be on constructing 3D geological models, using appropriate resource estimation techniques, and reconciling updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models, and historical production.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server, identifying exploration targets, and contributing to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource.
In addition, you will prepare mineral resource technical reports and presentations to communicate risks and opportunities to management, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
* Minimum 5 years experience as a geologist in mining, with underground, narrow vein gold being highly desirable
* Minimum 3 years experience in resource estimation producing JORC compliant block models and documentation
* Good knowledge of geostatistics and block model validation
* Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation
* Experience using Datamine, Leapfrog, and Snowden Supervisor (desirable but not essential)
* Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements

About You
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
You will be either a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area and work a 5:2:4:3 (10-hour day) roster, or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
