About The Role

We're hiring a Cook to join our team on a Part Time basis, working 4 hours each Thursday and Friday. You'll be at the heart of our community, preparing fresh, tasty meals for our residents each day. From cooking with quality local ingredients to keeping the kitchen clean and running smoothly, your role helps bring people together over a good meal. If you love creating simple, wholesome food and enjoy being part of a friendly, purpose-driven team, we'd love to have you on board.


Responsibilities

* Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh, local ingredients, while minimising waste and following menu guidelines.
* Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently, ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors.
* Work respectfully and effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
* Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.


About You

* Previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.
* Experience in food preparation and cooking, with strong communication and basic budgeting skills.
* A proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment.
* Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do.
* Comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely with PPE.
