The Alfred Cancer Program delivers comprehensive cancer services across various clinical areas, including Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and others. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures the best possible care for patients with haematological diseases.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced registered nurse with advanced knowledge and skills in Haematology. As a Haematology Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will be part of the Malignant Haematology and Stem Cell Transplantation Service. Your role will involve autonomously managing transplant patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to clinical education and mentorship activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Practice autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Manage transplant patients, including prescribing medications and ordering investigations
* Provide clinical education and mentorship to junior staff
* Develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements and Qualifications
* Extensive knowledge of Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and in teams
* Masters degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification, including approved Therapeutic Medication Management module
