AECOM is seeking an Environmental Planner to join our 'Impact Assessment and Permitting' team in Newcastle. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise to deliver projects that drive positive environmental and social outcomes.

Our Environment team works alongside designers and engineers from project inception through to construction, giving you the chance to learn, collaborate, and make a real impact. With ESG principles embedded in everything we do, you will be working towards creating a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality environmental assessments and project delivery
* Prepare Environmental Impact Statements and related reports, translating technical information into clear, accessible language
* Support project delivery by managing time effectively, balancing a varied workload, and assisting in organizing project resources, budgets and schedules
* Coordinate specialist input and fieldwork to ensure technical advice is integrated into project outcomes

Our ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental planning, or environmental engineering, as well as experience in environmental impact assessment across various market sectors.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. We also value flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
