Job Role Overview
The Department of Justice seeks a professional to provide civil legal advice and litigation services.
This role is responsible for providing expert legal guidance to the State and its Agencies in various matters. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal information and communicate it effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide solicitor and counsel services in civil matters involving the State and its Agencies before any State Courts, Tribunals or Boards at first instance.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
* Assist with the development and documentation of legal policies, practices and procedures.
Requirements
* Admitted or eligible for admission as a Barrister or Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
* A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (employment).
