Overview
Lead our growing and diversifying Rail capability in WA, responsible for sales, bid wins, project execution and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate day‐to‐day leadership of the Rail team.
* Identify value‐adds, innovations, and other points of difference that KBR can deliver or develop further and connect these with KBR's clients via regular discussion / engagement.
* Proactive client relationship management, pursuit planning and proposal management.
* Form and nurture relationships within the market to support development of new and ongoing repeat work for the business.
* Undertake early‐game positioning and complete pre‐tender plans to improve the company's probability of success prior to the tender brief arriving.
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and agree targets to begin positioning.
* Project delivery and engineering excellence.
* Accountable as a project leader for the successful delivery of KBR's contracted services to the client against cost, time, and quality objectives.
* Work closely with the client and internal staff to effectively manage expectations, contract compliance, and achieve compliance with KBR systems and processes.
* Lead and manage a multi‐disciplinary team (both internal disciplines and external sub‐consultant partners).
* Take an interest in and participate in KBR's Employee Resource Groups, promoting development for graduates, gender diversity, reconciliation and empowerment of First Nations Peoples, equal opportunities for LGBTQ+ employees, and supporting veterans.
Qualifications and Experience
* Solid track record and demonstrated experience within the rail sector, preferably in WA.
* Experience in passenger rail and heavy‐haul freight (including minerals) highly regarded.
* Significant experience in an engineering consulting environment.
* Proven ability to develop win strategies and proposal methodologies that support winning new business.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in developing, managing, and maintaining positive industry relationships that convert opportunities into projects.
* Strong client contacts within the rail sector.
* Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships.
* Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety.
