About the Role
The Educational Designer plays a key role in the design and implementation of educational initiatives that transform curriculum, learning and teaching practices across a range of disciplines and delivery modes. You will collaborate with academic and professional staff to design high quality learning experiences, align learning outcomes and assessment, and leverage technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
This role contributes to institutional priorities by supporting curriculum transformation, improving learning design practices, and enhancing the overall student experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with academic and professional staff to enhance learning, teaching and curriculum practices
* Support the design and development of aligned, high quality learning experiences across subjects and courses
* Provide expert advice on curriculum mapping, assessment design and constructive alignment.
* Contribute to and implement strategic educational initiatives and priorities
* Design and deliver professional development programs and training for staffReview and evaluate curriculum and teaching practices, providing insights and recommendations
* Innovate and apply learning design methodologies and digital technologies to improve subject delivery and student outcomes
* Build and maintain collaborative relationships across faculties and divisions

What You'll Bring
* Relevant qualification in Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in curriculum design and review in higher education
* Strong knowledge of pedagogy and learning design that inform best practice in learning and teaching across a range of modes (including online, blended and hybrid)
* Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate training and staff professional development
* Demonstrated experience in engaging effectively with a range of stakeholders
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills
