DFP is seeking an experienced and dedicated Asset Strategist for one our State Government clients.
About the role:
* Provide leadership in developing, monitoring and reporting asset data, benchmarking and performance, supporting informed asset strategy and options.
* Custodian of the Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF), ensuring governance, monitoring and performance reporting to executive, Board and Minister.
* Maintain a broad, portfolio-wide perspective — looking beyond budget limitations to identify the best long-term outcomes.
* Contribute to asset plans, innovative projects, and robust financial and feasibility models to maximise asset value.
* Work with stakeholders to ensure effective use of capital and develop transparent criteria for prioritising programs and allocating resources.
* Act as a panel member contributing to key decisions on the asset pool.
* Promote collaboration within the organisation and with government and non-government partners for improved asset outcomes.

About you:
* Proven ability to take responsibility, justify decisions, act within authority and align actions with organisational policy and values.
* Skilled in using current information systems, adapting to changes and advising on improvements for asset data management.
* Experienced in providing strategic and conceptual advice to senior leaders and Ministers, with strong high-level writing and briefing skills.
* Able to identify strategic goals, set direction and provide influential leadership to deliver outcomes.
* Skilled at managing and evaluating major organisational strategies, initiatives and stakeholder communications.
* Qualified and experienced in strategic asset management, strategic planning, development, finance, economics or related fields.
* Strong background in informed decision-making and asset management or planning, particularly in construction and development.
* A Tertiary Qualification in asset management, business, real estate, land economics, development, valuation, urban planning or equivalent is desirable.
