**The Role**
Joint Proof & Experimental Unit (JPEU) is an integral part of Explosive Ordnance Branch, Joint Logistics Command and is tasked to provide dynamic, static and environmental test and evaluation services to the Australian Defence Organisation. JPEU consists of a Headquarters at Port Wakefield SA, and two Ranges, Proof and Experimental Establishment (P&EE) Graytown VIC, and P&EE Port Wakefield SA.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated person to perform the role of the Ammunition Inspector within the Explosive Ordnance Services Sections at Port Wakefield. In this exciting and challenging role you will work with explosives ordnance, including assisting with the management, accounting, storage, preparation, testing and disposal of explosives ordnance. This may include in service surveillance (ISS), breakdown activities and investigations. The team may carryout technical investigations of munitions.

Employment at Port Wakefield attracts a Special Defence Locality Allowance of approximately $6,600.00 per annum ($255.36 per fortnight).

**About our Team**
The P&EE Port Wakefield teams carryout Test and Evaluation activities for a diverse range of various calibre munitions and other explosive ordnance. They capture performance data of the munitions and provide that information to the customer.

The EO Services Team is critical in this process as they provide explosives ordnance that have been prepared for dynamic and or static functioning this is to ensure that the specifications of the test plan are met to ensure that activities are repeatable.

The broader team utilise systems such as ballistic tracking radar, high speed video cameras and associated equipment to track the rounds or event when the explosive ordnance is dynamically fired or statically tested the munitions.

They will have good interpersonal skills and be able to work with information technology to aid in the management of the explosives ordnance and prepare explosives ordnance for Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities. They will be an excellent communicator and be able to influence out comes to ensure that 'Best Outcomes for Defence' are provided as required. They will be dynamic and keen to continuously improve systems and processes.
