Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to fill the position of Judicial Registrar in our Commercial Division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cases in the Commercial Division, including hearing and determining interlocutory applications, conducting judicial resolution conferences and trial assessments, and making procedural orders.
They will also assist with procedural reform and work collaboratively with the Commercial Registry to ensure that its systems of work are efficient and effective.
This is a fixed term appointment, but appointments on a part-time or work-share basis will be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in commercial law, superior oral and written communication skills, and an ability to make timely decisions according to law.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hearing and determining interlocutory applications
* Conducting judicial resolution conferences and trial assessments
* Managing the self-represented litigants' program
* Making procedural orders, including orders by consent
Requirements
* Legally qualified (admitted for not less than five years)
* Extensive experience in the practice of commercial law
* In-depth understanding of court processes and procedures
* Superior oral and written communication skills
* Ability to make timely decisions according to law
