About the Role
The Developer translates business needs into well‐architected solutions leveraging underlying platform capabilities. They align to product development methods for the estimation and delivery of the customer product portfolio, supporting the strategic visions of the TAC and WorkSafe. As a member of the Technology Operations Team, the developer is the squad member responsible for delivering features, resolving defects, vulnerabilities and technical debt, as prioritised by Product Owners. The developer builds new features with a strong focus on UX, functional quality and non‐functional performance. They are the engine of the product delivery squad, delivering outcomes for stakeholders and benefits for TAC and WorkSafe.
The product delivery function includes development, engineering, quality assurance and security of products to ensure services are delivered against agreed Service Level Agreements, Enterprise Architecture and product and platform release cycles. The function uses contemporary methods and tools to implement product changes in line with business expectation and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Translate business needs into well‐architected solutions.
* Align to product development methods for estimation and delivery of the customer product portfolio.
* Deliver features, resolve defects, address vulnerabilities and manage technical debt as prioritised by Product Owners.
* Build new features with a focus on UX, functional quality and performance.
* Ensure development, engineering, QA and security meet Service Level Agreements, Enterprise Architecture and release cycles.
* Implement product changes using contemporary methods and tools in accordance with business expectations and industry standards.
Qualifications
* Experience with development process including unit test classes, batch processes, large data volumes, CI/CD pipeline/source control management and deployments.
* Digital Back End Development experience in one or more of the following: Acquia Platform, Drupal, Apache Solr, JSON API, Composer, Drush.
* Demonstrated capability to collaborate productively within a team environment.
* Consistently contribute to positive team outcomes while fostering strong, cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Influence real change.
